skyhub PAD is ceasing operations – Lufthansa codeshare flights affected

(27 May 2026)

skyhub PAD will discontinue the flights between Munich and Paderborn/Lippstadt, Lübeck, and Pécs operated by the Danish airline DAT for economic reasons effective 10 June 2026. Lufthansa had actively supported the company on these routes until recently through a codeshare agreement.

Passengers affected by the cancellation will be offered the option to rebook via Hanover, Hamburg or Budapest, as well as a refund of the ticket price.

The Frankfurt–Linz route, which can also be booked as a Lufthansa codeshare, is not affected by the cancellations.

Background:

The primary reason for this decision is the extremely high government-imposed operating costs. Taxes and fees have doubled since 2019. The exorbitant rise in costs leaves little room for domestic flights within Germany, thereby hindering international connectivity for key economic regions in Germany.
