Austrian Airlines serves new “Austrian Dirndl” signature drink on long-haul flights

With its new signature drink, “Austrian Dirndl,” Austrian Airlines brings premium Austrian ingredients and contemporary drinking culture to its long-haul service.

The drink is based on a Cornelian cherry liqueur, made from the fruit known in eastern Austria as the “Dirndl.” Mixed with sparkling mineral water and served over ice, it offers a refreshing balance of fruity and tart flavors, making it an ideal aperitif or digestif.

Freshly prepared on board Austrian Airlines’ Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Boeing 777, and Boeing 767 aircraft, the new signature drink represents mindful enjoyment Made in Austria. It was developed in collaboration with Wiener Dirndl Genuss GmbH and THE Taste Symphonie.
