Eurowings: Free transport of children’s wagons (handcarts)
(1 July 2026)
Traveling with children just got a little easier: Eurowings is expanding its family offer by allowing foldable wagons to be checked in free of charge.
With this update, the airline responds to the needs of many families who value flexibility and good preparation. Wagons can be a practical companion when traveling with children—whether at the airport, at the destination, or on day trips.
The process is simple: foldable wagons can be checked in directly at the airport and will be transported safely in the hold.
At-a-glance: baggage allowance
If a child up to and including 11 years of age is included in the booking, two children’s travel items can be carried free of charge. These include:
- strollers and buggies
- child seats
- travel cots
- baby carriers
- and now: foldable wagons
