And as the industry changed over the years so did the communication between Lufthansa Group airlines and travel agencies.
eXperts: Working hand in hand with travel agents
First digital steps
Remember the regular faxes with pricing charts? They probably count as a form of digital communication. Additionally, the first digital email newsletters in the 1990s and 2000s provided travel agency partners with relevant information from airlines, and later from the Lufthansa Group as a whole. This was an important step toward keeping travel agencies up to date and improving the booking experience for our mutual customers.
Working with experts
In 2006, all local eXperts programs were combined into one website with tailored landing pages for every country. While this is not technically the launch of eXperts, it is definitely the start of the global eXperts program you know today.
2025
The new platform
Over the years, both the eXperts program and the Lufthansa Group have grown, and with the program being offered in 134 countries worldwide, it was time for a redesign. In 2025, the website became easier to use with a modern design and more features that were fully integrated on our B2B platform, Lufthansa Group for Business.
