Lufthansa on the rails

From 1 March, in cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, the ICE connections Frankfurt - Dresden and Frankfurt - Berlin can be booked as Lufthansa Express Rail point-to-point connections via Lufthansa.

The advantages of the test project lie in the easy accessibility of city centers and the flexible rebooking options between train and plane.

The mainly used modern ICE Sprinters run approx. every four hours between Frankfurt and Dresden, between Frankfurt and Berlin approx. every two hours.

  • 4 times daily ICE connection - Frankfurt main station (ZRB) to Dresden main station (XIR)
  • 3 times daily ICE connection - Dresden mainstation (XIR) to Frankfurt main station (ZRB)

  • 8 times daily ICE connection - Frankfurt main station (ZRB) to Berlin main station (QPP)
  • 8 times daily ICE connection - Berlin main station (QPP) to Frankfurt main station (ZRB)

The advantage for travelers: Take the plane to an early appointment in the morning and return relaxed by train. All connections come from a single source and can be rebooked flexibly at the appropriate fare.
