Vaccinated Travel Lane - quarantine-free entry to Singapore for vaccinated travelers

As of October 19, 2021, fully vaccinated individuals from Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States can enter Singapore quarantine-free via a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL).

This will require travelers to take only two PCR tests instead of four - before departure and upon arrival in Singapore. The frequency of VTL flights will also be expanded from December, and children up to and including 12 years of age will also be able to travel on VTL flights when accompanied by fully vaccinated passengers.

Only passengers who meet all Vaccinated Travel Lane requirements will travel on VTL flights. Passengers wishing to benefit from quarantine-free entry must also be booked on one of these flights, according to the statement.

The current VTL requirements in brief:

  • Full vaccination coverage: full Covid 19 vaccination may have been given in Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, United States or Singapore with an approved vaccine.
  • Completion of a Corona PCR test within 48 hours prior to departure and a PCR test upon arrival at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN).
  • Purchase of travel medical insurance in the amount of SGD 30,000 (applicable to short-term visitors only).
  • Downloading the TraceTogether App  (applies to short-term visitors only).
  • Short-term visitors and Long-Term Pass Holders traveling to Singapore are also required to apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP).
  • Quarantine-free entry from Germany to Singapore is only possible on a non-stop flight designated as a VTL flight. Stay in one or more of the above VTL countries for 14 consecutive days prior to departure for Singapore is permitted

Short-term visitors and Long-Term Pass Holders traveling to Singapore must also apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP). The Vaccinated Travel Pass can be applied for since September 1, 2021. The Vaccinated Travel Pass alone does not entitle the holder to a quarantine-free entry and is only valid on VTL flights.

The current VTL requirements in brief:

Starting in December, we will increase the frequency on the LH 778 Frankfurt-Singapore connection to five weekly flights. The existing VTL flights on Thursday and Saturday will be supplemented by the flights on Monday and Wednesday and are marked accordingly in the reservation systems. The flight on Tuesday will then be a regular flight.

If the VTL requirements are not met, we will be required to deny the traveler boarding.

The flight connection on Tuesday will be operated as a regular flight and can therefore be booked by all passengers who meet the general entry, quarantine and, if applicable, transit requirements in Singapore.

No codeshare flight numbers are available for the other scheduled VTL flights.

Passengers with existing bookings that are not eligible for VTL will be automatically rebooked on a regular (non-VTL) flight.
