With Onboard Delights, Lufthansa offers you a wide range of freshly prepared meals on board on European flights. With an expanded range of hot beverages, a new, more sustainable reusable cup is now being used. The new recyclable plastic cups replace the previous disposable cups with plastic lids. On the way to your appointments within Europe, you can now purchase new coffee specialties such as latte macchiato, various tea variants and hot chocolate in the new reusable cups. 

The airlines of the Lufthansa Group have jointly set the goal of completely eliminating all single-use plastic products and single-use aluminum on board by 2025. 

In this way, the Lufthansa Group is moving step by step toward its goal of leading air transport into a more sustainable future. The goal is to achieve a neutral CO2 balance by 2050 and to cut net CO2 emissions in half by 2030, compared with 2019. 

For effective climate protection, the Lufthansa Group relies in particular on accelerated fleet modernization, continuous optimization of flight operations, the use of sustainable aviation fuels, and sustainable offers for private and business customers.
