Lufthansa Group resumes flights to and from Riyadh, Amman, Beirut and Erbil

Lufthansa Group recently decided to gradually resume flights to the Middle East. This decision follows a comprehensive safety and security assessment. On 1 July 2026, Eurowings did successfully resume its flights to Beirut (Lebanon) and Erbil (Iraq).

Erbil (EBL):

from/to Berlin (BER): twice weekly
from/to Cologne (CGN): once a week
from/to Düsseldorf (DUS): three times a week
from/to Hamburg (HAM): twice weekly
from/to Hanover (HAJ): once a week
from/to Stuttgart (STR): three times a week

Beirut (BEY):

from/to Berlin (BER): once a week
from/to Düsseldorf (DUS): once a week
from/to Stockholm (ARN): twice weekly starting 18 July 2026

As a next step, Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa will now move up the resumption of their flights to Amman (Jordania) and Riyadh (Saudi-Arabia) to an earlier date:

Frankfurt (FRA)–Riyadh (RUH): three times a week starting 10 September 2026
Vienna (VIE)–Amman (AMM): three times a week starting 2 October 2026

Changes may occur for individual airlines due to the dynamic situation and will be communicated accordingly.
