Munich Airport was named “Airport of the Year” at the prestigious ATW Airline Industry Achievement Awards. The award recognizes the airport's close cooperation with airlines, such as Lufthansa in the joint venture in Terminal 2, as well as its exemplary role in the areas of innovation, growth, and sustainability.
Examples include the new bus depot for electric buses, solar-powered charging stations for electric vehicles, and the testing of autonomous wheelchairs for passengers with limited mobility.
The award confirms Munich Airport's commitment to combining innovation and sustainability with maximum travel comfort for passengers.
