SWISS launches first-ever flights to the Indian metropolis of Bengaluru
(1 June 2026)
SWISS is expanding its long-haul network and will add Bengaluru to its route portfolio for the first time in the 2026/2027 winter schedule. Alongside Delhi and Mumbai, the southern Indian metropolis becomes the airline’s third destination in India.
Bengaluru: Where technology meets culture
Known as the “Silicon Valley of India,” Bengaluru is one of Asia’s leading hubs for technology and innovation. The city is home to international corporations and numerous European companies, as well as a dynamic startup scene. At the same time, historic temples, traditional markets, and green spaces offer rich cultural diversity.
Attractive for business and leisure
The destination appeals equally to business and leisure travelers and is an ideal gateway for exploring southern India. With this new route, SWISS is responding to growing demand for flights to one of Asia’s most important economic regions.
✈ Zurich (ZRH) – Bengaluru (BLR): 5 weekly flights starting 27 October 2026
New: SWISS Air Rail to Grindelwald
(31 March 2026)
Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland embodies everything many travelers associate with Switzerland: breathtaking mountain scenery, unspoiled nature, and authentic Swiss experiences. Thanks to the expanded Air Rail offer from SWISS and SBB, Grindelwald (ZHJ) is now seamlessly connected to Zurich and the SWISS global route network. This is made possible by a new partnership with Jungfrau Railways, which operates the train service between Interlaken and Grindelwald.
The trains operate under a SWISS flight number and are booked in the same way as a connecting flight. Through fares apply.*
With this expansion, the SWISS Air Rail network grows to a total of 25 destinations in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.
* SWISS Air Rail can only be booked in conjunction with a flight operated by SWISS or Edelweiss.
