Better connection to Norway with the new code share agreement

Norway's regions are now better connected to the global air traffic network. On September 1, a corresponding codeshare agreement was signed by the Lufthansa Group and Widerøe - Norway's longest-established airline group.

The new agreement enables better connectivity to Norway's regional airports. Domestic flights from Widerøe are now connected to a possible onward flight operated by Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS. 11 domestic destinations are thus connected from Widerøe to the Lufthansa hubs in Frankfurt and Munich via a transit in Bergen, Trondheim and Tromsø.

Selected flights from Widerøe carry a Lufthansa (LH) flight number in addition to their own flight number (WF). In addition, Lufthansa will also display its flight number on Widerøe's international flights from its home base in Bergen to Munich and Brussels. This will create a connection with Brussels Airlines and selected routes in Africa.
