The future of travel has arrived
On board the latest Airbus A350, travelers can now enjoy our new long-haul experience – Lufthansa Allegris. During the introductory phase, which will last for several months, passengers will initially be able to experience the new Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, Business Class, and First Class on select flights.
The routes at a glance*:
- Munich–Shanghai–Munich
- Munich–San Francisco–Munich
- Munich–Cape Town–Munich
- Munich–Bengaluru–Munich (including First Class)
- Munich–Mumbai–Munich (including First Class)
In addition, Chicago, New York (JFK), and Beijing will be served by aircraft with Lufthansa Allegris on board at various times during the 2024/2025 winter schedule.
Please note that different Airbus A350s, that are not yet equipped with Lufthansa Allegris, will also be used on these routes. You can find out more about this in the section "What to look out for during the introductory phase".

What to look out for during the introductory phase
In the first few months, only some aircraft will initially be equipped with Lufthansa Allegris. During this time, passengers will only find out whether they will be able to experience the new seats and numerous possibilities of Lufthansa Allegris approximately six weeks before departure. At this point, the new Lufthansa Allegris seat map will also be made available for these flights – both at the time of booking and at check-in. If for operational reasons a different Airbus A350 must be used on certain days, the current A350 seat map will be displayed.
In the 2024/2025 winter timetable, the new First Class will take off from Munich to Bengaluru and Mumbai. Both destinations will be served alternately with the new First Class.
After a technical introductory phase, Lufthansa will initially invite its most loyal customers into First Class. As soon as more aircraft with the new First Class are part of the fleet, upgrades to First Class – and later also specific booking options – will be offered.
Benefit for Business Class passengers: During the introductory phase, only a few aircraft will be equipped with the new travel classes. During this time, Business Class passengers will be able choose their preferred seat free of charge from five different seating options, whether it is an Extra Space Seat, Extra Long Bed, Privacy Seat, or Classic Seat (subject to availability). The Business Class Suite will be available exclusively to HON Circle Members and Senators during the introductory phase.
In Premium Economy Class, the seat, as is the case today, can be reserved in advance for a fee. When booking the Premium Economy Flex fare, the advanced seat reservation is included free of charge.
Passengers who have not reserved a seat in advance will be allocated one of the remaining seats at check-in free of charge.
In Economy Class, the seat, as is the case today, can be reserved in advance for a fee. On the Economy Flex fare, the reservation of an Economy Class Classic Seat is free of charge.
Passengers who have not reserved a seat in advance will be allocated one of the remaining seats at check-in free of charge.
