The key points about booking at a glance

In many distribution channels, the new Lufthansa Allegris seat map offers a good overview of the advantages of the various seat options when booking a flight and includes useful tools such as a photo gallery.

Would you like to know where each seat is located in the cabin? Then our downloadable seat map will help you.

You have the option of reserving a preferred seat for your customers in all travel classes up to 52 hours before departure via the usual booking and handling process for advance seat reservations (ASR). As is currently the case, passengers who have not made a seat reservation in advance will be allocated one of the remaining seats free of charge at check-in at the latest.

You can find out which seat best meets your customers' wishes hereThe link will be opened in a new browser tab.

In First Class, your customers can choose between the Suite and the Suite Plus. The First Class SuiteThe link will be opened in a new browser tab is located next to the window and can always be reserved free of charge. The First Class Suite PlusThe link will be opened in a new browser tab, in the middle of the cabin, offers passengers traveling alone maximum privacy and comfort for a fee. Advance seat reservations can be made through the familiar ASR process. There is also the option of booking the Suite Plus for two people traveling together. If you wish to book this, please contact the Lufthansa First Class Service hotline:

In Premium Economy, passengers can reserve their preferred seat in advance for a fee. When booking the Premium Economy Flex fare, the advanced seat reservation is included free of charge.

In Economy Class, passengers can reserve their preferred seat in advance for a fee. On the Economy Flex fare, the reservation of an Economy Class Classic Seat is free of charge.

Note: Prices for advance seat reservation vary depending on the length of the route, the passenger’s frequent flyer status, the fare booked and the booking channel. For up-to-date prices, please consult your booking tool.

Rebookings and refunds of advance seat reservations in Lufthansa Allegris First Class and Business Class

If, in the case of a rebooking or change of aircraft type, the originally purchased seat category is no longer available, the charges for the advance seat reservation (ASR EMD) can be refunded in most instances.

In the case of the cancelation and refund of a ticket, in most instances you can also refund the advance seat reservation fee (ASR EMD) – regardless of whether it involves a refund on a voluntary (for refundable fares) or involuntary basis.

You will find all the details about ASR rebookings and refunds in our factsheet.

Traveling with children

For Lufthansa Allegris flights in Business Class, early advance seat reservation is required for passengers traveling with children between the ages of 2 and 11, as there are only limited options available for adults and children to sit together. In order to ensure safe support in an emergency, only certain seating configurations are designed for families.

In order to put the oxygen mask on a child in an emergency, the accompanying adult must be seated in close proximity to that child, depending on the situation:

  • If an adult is traveling with one child, they must sit either next to or directly behind* the child.
  • If an adult is traveling with two children, they must either sit directly behind both children or next to one child and directly behind the other.*

We have compiled an overview of all possible scenarios and seating combinations for you here.

Download overviewThe link will be opened in a new browser tab

* Exception: If the child is sitting in the Business Class Suite, the adult must also sit in the Business Class Suite, directly next to the child. The Business Class Suite therefore cannot be booked for an adult traveling with two children.

In First Class, children may only travel together with an adult in the Suite Plus.
