Green Fares: more sustainable fares on all European flights
Carbon neutral by 2050. The Lufthansa Group is making every effort to achieve this. From investments in a new and fuel-efficient fleet and the use of sustainable aviation fuels to the latest technologies in the field of aerodynamic improvement, we are continuously developing further measures to reduce emissions from flying.
Green Fares are another cornerstone on the route to our ambitious goal.
Economy Green and Business Green — that’s what we are calling the new fares to fly more sustainably with the Lufthansa Group airlines. These Green Fares enhance our familiar Europe fares and already include the reduction and offsetting of the flight-related CO2 emissions of your individual flight in the price.
Book more sustainably
If you choose an Economy Green or Business Green fare, 20% of the individual CO2 emissions are reduced through the use of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and the remaining 80% of the individual CO2 emissions tracked are offset by an equivalent contribution to high-quality climate-protection projects. This combination of reduction and offsetting is firmly linked to the new fares and offers an easy way to fly more sustainably.
Our Green Fares at-a-glance
Our Green Fares are now available for all European flights* by the Lufthansa Group airlines. They can easily be booked directly on the websites of Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, Air Dolomiti, Edelweiss and Eurowings Discover or at your travel agency.
