Eurowings is enhancing the flight experience for over 20 million guests with innovative, multi-sensory elements. In line with its motto “Small gestures, thoughtful details” the airline is further improving its in-flight product and creating a variety of new experiences on board for its guests.
The flight experience is being expanded step by step with innovative, multi-sensory elements. Every new “signature moment” from boarding to leaving the aircraft is designed to be emotionally moving and surprising – and to create a travel experience that will be remembered positively. The aim is for guests to not only feel safe and well looked after, but also to be engaged with all their senses. Small, thoughtful details make all the difference here and create tangible brand experiences.
Burgundy Breeze: the new signature fragrance from Eurowings
A special highlight is the new signature fragrance “Burgundy Breeze,” which was developed in collaboration with the renowned Cologne-based fragrance marketing agency Scentcommunication. The composition of sea salt, pink pepper, floral notes such as water lily, and a warm base of wood and vetiver creates a fresh, harmonious cabin ambience that brings the lightness of the brand to life on board.
Sweet farewell gift: mint and fruit candies in Eurowings colors
Eurowings also attaches great importance to thoughtful details when passengers disembark: guests will now receive a sweet in the company's signature burgundy or sky blue colors. With a fruity cassis or refreshing peppermint flavor, this small gesture ensures a sweet farewell with an emotional impact.
Relaxation through music: sound branding when boarding and disembarking
Atmospheric background music is part of the Eurowings experience – on every flight, when boarding and disembarking. The sound design was uniquely developed for the Eurowings brand and creates a relaxed and calming environment for all passengers. The specially composed pieces of music contain sound effects and noises that make travelers think of vacation as soon as they board – for example, nature sounds or the sound of an airplane taking off are mixed into the “organic electro” sound.

With these details, Eurowings is consciously focusing on emotional quality in the travel experience as a value airline – and thus clearly setting itself apart from the often standardized environment of its competitors. The targeted appeal to the senses ensures recognition, well-being, and genuine customer loyalty.
