Austrian Airlines brings back the “Kreuzerlfrühstück” breakfast on long-haul flights in Business Class

Austrian Airlines has further optimized its in-flight offering for Business Class guests on long-haul flights. Effective immediately, they will receive a new menu card with a new structure and updated design.

There are also a few other new features. First, a popular classic is making a comeback: the “Kreuzerlfrühstück” breakfast. Business Class passengers can choose their favorite breakfast and check it off on their menu card. The selected breakfast items are then added to the basic components on the tray. This gives passengers even more individual choice and an even more personalized service experience on board their Austrian Airlines long-haul flight.

Austrian Airlines focuses on more red, white, and red when it comes to spirits on board

The new menu brings another welcome innovation: Austria is now also the origin of some of the spirits in Austrian Airlines' Business Class. Previous international suppliers of spirits have been replaced by Austrian producers. Specifically, the following changes have been made: The new gin on board is “Gin X1” and comes from Wolfgang Achs Apetlon in Burgenland.

The well-known Carinthian “Gurktaler” is now available as a herbal liqueur. Whisky lovers will enjoy the “Roggenhof Whisky Single Malt” from the Haider distillery in the Waldviertel region, while vodka fans will love the new “Ignaz Vodka” from Lustenau. Those who want to enjoy a chocolate liqueur can opt for “Mozartlikör” from Salzburg. Internationally popular highlights remain on board. Port wine has also been replaced by a local dessert wine.

Speaking of wines: these come exclusively from Austrian producers. Austrian companies have long been the main suppliers of non-alcoholic beverages on board Austrian Airlines: the mineral water comes from Vöslauer and the fruit juices are produced by Rauch. The popular herbal lemonade “Almdudler” rounds off this Austrian focus on beverages. This non-alcoholic red-white-red range is complemented by international classics such as tonic and cola.
