The new European fare concept

More choice thanks to greater fare variety on short- and medium-haul routes

Effective 28 April 2026 (date of ticket issuance), the airlines of the Lufthansa Group* will introduce a revised fare structure within Europe, offering a portfolio that is even more closely aligned with different customer needs. With Economy Basic, a new entry‑level fare is added, while the existing fares are selectively updated.

The new fare structure provides more choice and allows travelers to select the fare that best suits their individual requirements – from budget-friendly options to maximum flexibility. Additional services can be added to any fare as needed, so travelers only pay for the services they actually need.
