Together we’ll turn the sky more azzurro

The Lufthansa Group is now even more international and diverse. That’s because ITA Airways is now officially part of the Lufthansa Group family. As a result of the merger, Rome Fiumicino Airport will in future be the Group’s sixth hub.

1,000 new transfer options and a five-star hub

Passengers will soon be able to look forward to a much greater choice of travel options. Code-sharing will create more than 1,000 new transfer connections within the network. The five-star hub in Rome Fiumicino will thus become the Lufthansa Group’s sixth and southernmost hub.

For your trips or those of your customers, this means more flexibility in travel planning and implementation in the future, as well as coordinated flight schedules with optimized travel times.

More comfort for frequent flyers

As a result of the Lufthansa Group’s merger with ITA Airways, First and Business Class passengers as well as status customers will soon be able to look forward to even greater comfort. They will have access to additional lounges and will be able to benefit from coordinated services on the ground and in the air. Members of the Miles & More and Volare loyalty programs will also have the opportunity to earn and redeem miles.

And what are the next steps?

ITA Airways’ full integration into the Lufthansa Group will take place in phases and include key measures such as its planned inclusion into the global airline alliance, Star Alliance. Of course, you will receive timely and regular detailed information from us about further planned changes and synergies.
