ITA Airways is now part of Star Alliance

On 1 April 2026, Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance, officially welcomed ITA Airways as its newest member. This means one thing above all else: greater comfort throughout the entire journey.

Travelers benefit from seamless connections with through check-in, lounge access across the entire Star Alliance network, and recognition of frequent flyer programs – including earning and redeeming miles.

The ITA Airways hubs at Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Milan Linate (LIN) also open up significantly more connections worldwide. For passengers, this makes traveling to and from Italy easier, more flexible, and noticeably more pleasant.

With the addition of ITA Airways, Star Alliance now comprises 26 member airlines, offering more than 17,500 daily flights across a global network spanning over 190 countries.
