Summer 2026: The Lufthansa Group airlines are offering even more flights to top vacation hotspots

(Last update: 8 April 2026)

The airlines of the Lufthansa Group are responding to the sharp and short-term surge in demand for leisure destinations and are significantly expanding their flight offer for summer 2026.

Between April and October 2026, Lufthansa alone plans to operate approximately 420 additional flights from its Frankfurt hub – a substantial increase that opens up new sales opportunities for travel agencies.

The focus is on both popular holiday destinations in Southern Europe – including classic beach and cultural regions – as well as attractive destinations in the far north, which are in high demand particularly for round-trip tours, outdoor activities, and nature experiences.
