The first Lufthansa A380 with the new Business Class is now in service

The retrofit of the first Airbus A380 has been completed. On board, your customers can now enjoy the most comfortable Business Class ever offered on the A380.
The new Business Class provides compelling arguments for your consultations:
- 58 cm seat width for noticeably greater comfort
- A bed at least 2 meters long for a restful sleep on long-haul flights
- Flexible partitions for added privacy
- Direct aisle access from every seat (1-2-1 configuration)
The inflight entertainment system has also been upgraded:
- 18-inch high-resolution screens
- Bluetooth connectivity for personal headphones
- Cinema-quality sound experience on board
- Interactive 3D moving map & live cameras
- New, intuitive user interface
The first retrofitted A380 is already in service and will be deployed on the following routes during the summer. By the end of June 2026, three modernized aircraft are expected to be in operation:
- Munich – Boston (BOS)
- Munich – Washington (IAD)
- Munich – Los Angeles (LAX)
- Munich – Delhi (DEL)
All eight Airbus A380 aircraft are scheduled to be fully retrofitted by mid-2027.
