Eurowings expands its Berlin base
(1 June 2026)
Eurowings is expanding its route network from Berlin (BER), offering more choice for the winter season. With a total of eleven aircraft to be stationed there, the airline will serve around 50 destinations.
New to the schedule: Bologna (BLQ). The Italian university city combines historic streets, vibrant food spots, and true dolce vita. It will be served nonstop from BER for the first time starting this winter.
For those looking to escape the colder months, there’s more good news: Additional flights to Fuerteventura (FUE), Gran Canaria (LPA), Lanzarote (ACE), and Tenerife (TFS) provide even greater flexibility for holiday planning.
Lufthansa Group is further strengthening its leading position in the German capital. In addition to Eurowings, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, and SWISS also operate regular flights to and from Berlin.
Eurowings expands Finland options from Berlin

Starting 20 December 2026, Eurowings will connect Berlin with the small Finnish town of Kuusamo. In recent years, this popular destination in northeastern Finland has already been regularly served from Dusseldorf. In addition, Eurowings is increasing the frequency of its existing routes between Berlin and Rovaniemi as well as Kittilä. These routes will now be operated up to twice weekly.

Eurowings expands service: 36,000 additional seats to Mallorca

Eurowings is expanding the flight offer to Mallorca on short notice and will provide around 36,000 additional seats through the end of May 2026. The plan includes approximately 100 additional flights to Palma de Mallorca, as well as around 70 further connections to the Canary Islands (Fuerteventura, Las Palmas, Tenerife) and to Faro, Málaga, Naples and Nice.
With these additions, the airline is responding to a recent shift in leisure demand and is specifically strengthening its offer to destinations in the western Mediterranean. The additional capacities will operate from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Cologne/Bonn and Stuttgart.
New Eurowings Route: Hanover – Glasgow
(3 March 2026)
Eurowings is expanding its network in summer 2026 and introducing a new direct connection between Hanover (HAJ) and Glasgow (GLA). Starting 29 June 2026, the airline will operate three weekly flights – on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays – from the capital of Lower Saxony to Scotland’s vibrant metropolis.
With this seasonal route, Eurowings strengthens connectivity between Germany and the United Kingdom and offers additional options for both business and leisure travelers. Glasgow is regarded as one of Scotland’s key economic, cultural and tourist centers, making it an attractive destination for a wide range of travel purposes.
Eurowings adds new routes and increases frequencies for summer

New direct connections and additional frequencies on high-demand routes are bringing Europe’s cities and beaches even closer together. Overall, Eurowings’ route network covers 150 destinations in 40 countries.
New destinations also available from international Eurowings hubs
Travelers from the Czech Republic (Prague) will also benefit from new destinations in the summer of 2026, including Brindisi, Hurghada, and Ibiza. From Salzburg, Genoa will additionally be served; from Graz, flights will in future operate twice weekly to Crete. Palma de Mallorca will see even more frequent connections from Berlin, Erfurt, Dresden, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Saarbrücken, and Stuttgart.

Eurowings continues to expand its medium-haul destinations in winter 2025/2026
(22 August 2025)
Starting 13 December 2025, Eurowings will connect Düsseldorf with Dubai (DWC) three times a week. Together with flights from Cologne/Bonn, Berlin, Stuttgart, and Hanover, Eurowings will then offer 28 weekly flights to the popular desert metropolis, more connections than ever before.
Starting 27 October 2025, Eurowings will fly up to twice a week from Stuttgart to Amman (AMM) in Jordan.
In addition to the new leisure routes, Eurowings is also expanding its offer for travelers who want to visit family and friends in their home region. Starting 4 November 2025, Eurowings will fly from Nuremberg to Erbil (EBL) in Iraq once a week, and the connection from Cologne/Bonn once a week on Wednesdays will now also be available in the winter flight schedule. Eurowings will also connect the Lebanese capital Beirut (BEY) with Hanover (starting 6 November 2025), Salzburg (starting 28 October 2025) and Prague (starting 7 November 2025) once a week in its winter schedule for the first time.
