Riyadh: a city of growth, heritage, and opportunity

Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is home to just under eight million people and is recognized for its steady growth, vibrant economy, and rich cultural heritage. Centrally located and surrounded by desert, the city has been the nation’s capital since independence in 1932. Riyadh is known for its universities, museums, and monuments, as well as its historical role as a stopover on pilgrimage routes to Mecca and Medina.
