Zurich Airport

For over 20 years Zurich Airport (ZRH) has been known as "Europe's Leading Airport". Nowhere else do departing passengers, transiting passengers and home-coming passengers feel more comfortable than here. Zurich is also the home of SWISS.

Departure from Zurich

Zurich Airport is a manageable size, which means transfer times and routes are short. It will take travelers a maximum of 30 minutes to get from the Check-in area to the gate.

Check-in areas and Gate areas

Zurich Airport has three Check-in areas (for SWISS flights please use Check-in 1 and Check-in 3) and four different Gate areas (A, B, D and E).

  • Schengen flights are departing from Gates A and B
  • Non-Schengen flights operate from Gates D and E

The Skymetro will take passengers non-stop from Gates A, B and D to Gates E or the other way around in just a few minutes and without any stops.

SWISS Check-in location 1 and 3

At Zurich Airport travelers will find the SWISS desk at Check-in 1 in the departure hall and at Check-in 3, above the train station. Passengers have the option to check-in at the desk or use the self-bag drop option.
