Lufthansa Allegris soon available on flights from Frankfurt – aboard the Dreamliner

(4 September 2025)

Your customers will soon be able to experience Lufthansa Allegris – the new premium travel experience – on flights from and to Frankfurt! Starting 9 October 2025, the first Boeing 787-9 featuring Lufthansa Allegris will operate on routes to and from Toronto (YYZ) through the end of the 2025 summer schedule. Details on which Frankfurt routes will offer Lufthansa Allegris during the Winter 2025/2026 schedule will be shared in the coming weeks.

The Boeing 787-9 offers three travel classes, with 231 seats in Economy Class, 28 in Premium Economy, and 28 in Business Class. On the Frankfurt–Toronto–Frankfurt route, you can already book the four exclusive Business Class Suites, as well as seats in Premium Economy and Economy Class for your customers. The remaining Business Class seats are currently undergoing certification, expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

Extra benefit for Business Class travelers:
Until certification is finalized, the Business Class Suites can be reserved free of charge – no advance seat reservation (ASR) fee applies.

Why Is Lufthansa launching with only a partially available Business Class?

This is a strategic move: By introducing the Boeing 787-9 early – even with limited Business Class capacity – Lufthansa can train and certify a large number of cockpit crews on the new aircraft type. This approach allows the airline to efficiently accelerate the renewal of its long-haul fleet.

The goal: By the end of the 2026 summer schedule, more than 20 Dreamliners featuring the new Lufthansa Allegris travel experience are expected to be in service – offering even more comfort, personalization, and choice on long-haul routes.

By the end of 2025, Lufthansa expects to receive up to nine additional Boeing 787-9 aircraft at its main hub in Frankfurt – that’s roughly one new delivery every two weeks.
