Lufthansa City Airlines becomes a member of Star Alliance

By joining Star Alliance on 9 September 2025, passengers of Lufthansa City Airlines will also benefit from the advantages of the alliance network. These include through baggage handling for connecting flights, status benefits such as lounge access and priority boarding, and the ability to earn and redeem award and status miles within the alliance's frequent flyer programs.

Joining Star Alliance not only expands the range of services available to passengers but also adds another strong member to the Lufthansa Group's global network of partnership, efficiency, and common standards. With its entry, Lufthansa City Airlines becomes part of a global network that connects over 18,000 flights a day to more than 1,150 destinations across over 190 countries.
