Brussels Airlines adds Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to its route network

Starting in summer 2026, Brussels Airlines will fly twice weekly from Brussels to Kilimanjaro (JRO). The new connection strengthens the airline's presence in East Africa and offers travelers access to iconic natural wonders such as Mount Kilimanjaro, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
With Kilimanjaro, the route network in sub-Saharan Africa will grow to 18 destinations.
The new route is part of the 2026 summer schedule, which also includes additional capacity for other destinations such as Freetown, Spain, and Portugal.
Brussels Airlines expands flight offer to Africa in winter 2025/2026

Brussels Airlines is continuing to expand its services between Brussels and sub-Saharan Africa. Lomé (Togo), Dakar (Senegal), Conakry (Guinea), Monrovia (Liberia), Accra (Ghana), and Freetown (Sierra Leone) will all receive additional weekly connections. Brussels Airlines is thus strengthening its role as the “Africa expert” within the Lufthansa Group.
