Lufthansa honored by Skytrax for First Class Onboard Dining

At the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, Lufthansa was recognized with the award for ‘World’s Best First Class Onboard Dining’. The award recognizes Lufthansa's exceptional culinary offering and attentive onboard service.

The Lufthansa First Class dining concept was developed in collaboration with two-Michelin-star chef Christoph Kunz and gategourmet. Skytrax also recognized the role of Lufthansa First Class cabin crews, whose expertise, precision, and attention to detail play a vital role in delivering a world-class dining experience at 35,000 feet.

The SKYTRAX World Airline Awards

The SKYTRAX World Airline Awards are regarded worldwide as a benchmark for excellence in the airline industry and are often referred to as the ‘Oscars of the aviation industry.’ The awards are based on the results of the world’s largest annual passenger survey in the aviation sector, conducted by market research organization SKYTRAX since 1999 to measure customer satisfaction.

Passengers from more than 100 countries participated in this year’s survey, with more than 325 airlines worldwide being evaluated.
