Twenty-five years of corporate loyalty. In marriage terms, that’s a silver anniversary. Very loyal, indeed! It began as a simple idea and has grown to become one of the most flexible corporate loyalty programs in aviation. For over two decades, PartnerPlusBenefit has adapted to the changing needs of business travel and continues to reward companies for their travel volume.
PartnerPlusBenefit: 25 years of corporate loyalty
2001
The launch
PartnerPlusBenefit officially launched in Germany in 2001. The program’s main purpose was to create a loyalty scheme that rewarded companies for their overall travel volume. Employees would continue to collect personal miles in their Miles & More accounts, while their companies could use the new program to reduce travel costs. It was—and still is—a win-win situation for everyone involved.
Global expansion through partnership
Just few years after its launch, the program grew as key partner airlines were integrated. This includes most of the Lufthansa Group airlines, as well as crucial top Star Alliance and Joint Venture partners.
For a quick overview, here is a list of all the participating partner airlines in chronological order of joining:
- 2008: Singapore Airlines
- 2008: All Nippon Airways (ANA)
- 2009: United Airlines
- 2009: Air Canada
- 2017: Air China
And in equal chronological order of joining, the participating Lufthansa Group airlines are:
- 2001: Lufthansa
- 2008: Austrian Airlines
- 2014: SWISS
- 2015: Eurowings
- 2019: Air Dolomiti
- 2022: Brussels Airlines
- 2025: ITA Airways
With each new airline, the program’s value for you and our other corporate partners has improved, because this vast expansion allows all PartnerPlusBenefit members to earn and redeem Benefit Points across an extensive global network.
Modernization for today’s business needs
Like everything in the Lufthansa Group cosmos, PartnerPlusBenefit has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of modern corporate travel. Over the past decade, the program has grown far beyond traditional award flights. Today, it empowers companies to make more responsible travel choices by converting Benefit Points into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and contributing to reduce the climate impact of future flights. In addition, PartnerPlusBenefit offers an extensive selection of attractive awards.
They range from Benefit Free Flights, Benefit Upgrades, and Lounge Vouchers to a variety of valuable non-flight options. Take your pick. And with the addition of Cash & Points in 2025, it is even possible to directly combine Benefit Points with a cash amount of your choosing for all bookable flights at lufthansa.com. This creates maximum flexibility with full cost control. In short, PartnerPlusBenefit gives you many ways to benefit from your collected Benefit Points.
