Travel ID and Miles & More customers have been able to use the FlyNet® messaging portal free of charge for 30 minutes on selected short and medium-haul flights operated by Austrian and Lufthansa for some time now. The good news at the start of the year: from mid-January 2024, both airlines will offer unlimited free messaging for the entire duration of the flight. Passengers will then be able to send and receive as many messages as they like, including photos, on their own smartphone or tablet during the flight on aircraft in the A320 family that have Wi-Fi.

To be able to use this service, you must be registered in FlyNet® with a Miles & More service card number or an e-mail address stored in the Lufthansa Group Travel ID. For Miles & More members, this service is available for an unlimited period. Travel ID users who are not yet Miles & More members can use the offer until the end of 2024. A new login or registration with Miles & More is still possible during the flight.
