SERVUS DREAMLINER - WELCOME TO THE FLEET

As previously announced, the Austrian Airlines fleet has grown. In June, the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner with the familiar red and white livery began regular operations for the Austrian airline between Vienna and New York (daily except Sunday), followed by the connection between Vienna and Chicago (daily except Wednesday).

On board, guests can expect a premium long-haul experience with internet access, an innovative lighting system that adapts to the rhythm of the day and thus reducing jet lag, spacious luggage compartments and large windows in all travel classes - including breathtaking views above the clouds.

The Dreamliner is currently one of the most modern and efficient aircraft in the world. You and your passengers can look forward to an exclusive travel experience with modern amenities - and typical Austrian hospitality. Business Class passengers can not only enjoy the culinary creations of our Do & Co Flying Chefs, they can also expect a personal retreat with maximum comfort: every seat is arranged along the aisle, offering all-aisle access, and the raised side panels ensure a high degree of privacy. Premium Economy and Economy Class guests can choose between different menus.

The windows are a particular highlight. They are among the largest in the entire aircraft industry. The electronic darkening system allows the light to be regulated according to individual requirements - for an undisturbed, breathtaking view above the clouds. The innovative technology, low weight, good aerodynamics and state-of-the-art engines make the 787-9 significantly more efficient than its predecessors and thus reduces CO2 emissions.

By 2028, nine more Boeing 787-9s will gradually replace Austrian Airlines' existing long-haul aircraft.
