Lufthansa Group Airlines: increased flights to China again
Lufthansa significantly expands China offer
Since March 2023, Lufthansa has again been offering daily flights between Frankfurt and Beijing (PEK) and Shanghai (PVG). In April 2023, there will again be three flights a week from Munich to Shanghai - and by August 31, there will again be a daily connection. In addition, Lufthansa will also fly to Beijing three times a week from the beginning of July.
With Austrian Airlines again from Vienna to Shanghai
After an interruption of three years, Austrian Airlines has been flying to the Middle Kingdom again since January. After China relaxed its entry regulations and flights to the Chinese mainland became possible again, demand has also skyrocketed. Business trips to the economically important country in particular are back on the agenda.
Since January, the Austrian airline has again been operating the Vienna-Shanghai connection twice a week. Every Monday and Friday you will find a connection that takes you from Vienna to Shanghai in a modern Boeing 777 - the largest aircraft operated by Austrian Airlines. Flights in the opposite direction, from Shanghai to Vienna, are also twice a week. On Mondays and Wednesdays, an early arrival in Vienna at 04:45 allows travelers enough time to transfer to other European destinations or enough time to prepare for appointments in the Austrian capital, for example.
Flights to Shanghai can now be booked on austrian.com.
SWISS says: Grüezi and nǐ hǎo
SWISS resumed passenger flights to Shanghai in March with a weekly direct service from Zurich. From April onwards, there will be a further increase, with SWISS planning three weekly flights to the economic metropolis with the Boeing 777-300ER and the Airbus A340-300 respectively. In addition, the frequency to Hong Kong will be increased from five to six weekly departures in the summer timetable.
In total, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS again have more than 40 weekly flights to and from Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong in their schedules for the summer of 2023.
