Lufthansa is upgrading its short-haul and medium-haul planes with a new cabin

(Update: November 2023)

Starting spring 2025, 38 Airbus A320 that are already flying for Lufthansa will be successively upgraded with the innovative new cabin that offers passengers considerably more comfort and premium features:

  • More legroom: The new seats by the Italian manufacturer Geven offer more legroom with the same seat spacing, thanks to the ergonomic shape of the backrests
  • More space for hand luggage: Large luggage compartments can hold up to double as many hand-luggage cases or bags as the current compartments. This is because the luggage can be stored vertically in the compartments, which are around 40 percent larger
  • USB port: Each seat features a USB port for charging mobile devices
  • Tablet/smartphone holder: Thanks to a special holder for tablets and smartphones, passengers can watch movies and TV series in much greater comfort on their own devices without having to hold these or put down their tray table
