Brussels Airport
In the heart of Europe
As a national airport located in the heart of Europe, Brussels Airport is the ideal gateway to Brussels, Belgium and the rest of the world. Brussels Airport is simultaneously a city in itself, bustling with activity, innovation and engagement. Our employees are passionate about the airport, and this zeal translates into an extremely customer-friendly service, suffused with typical Belgian hospitality. Other business are keen to establish themselves here, attracted by the promotion of Belgian pride that Brussels Airport propagates at an international level. Brussels Airport is the ultimate experience for each and everyone!
The human touch
The numbers speak for themselves: Brussels Airport is one of the most important airports in Europe. Yet, alongside all those capacity expansions and infrastructure investments, we manage to keep things on an exceptionally intimate level. Indeed, we remain an airport with a decidedly human touch, with due regard for the needs of every individual. Regardless of whether it is a passenger, business, supplier or partner: the customer always comes first.
More than an airport
We are constantly looking forward and consider more than the conventional services. Our role as an intermodal hub is an excellent example. By aligning all transport modes, we actively increase accessibility and attract foreign companies as a consequence. This has resulted in an Airport Business District, where growing activity implies an additional source of employment.
Shift 2027
Brussel Airport has a clear sense of direction: to be the preferred partner in delivering smart connectivity solutions, thinking and acting in a sustainable and customer-centric way. To make this happen, we drew-up a new strategic plan called Shift.
Frankfurt Airport
Faster through the security check with a reserved time slot
At more and more airports in Germany, travelers can conveniently pre-book a time slot for security checks – starting 72 hours before departure. This way, they can take advantage of exclusive access to the checkpoints and avoid longer waiting times. The new service is free of charge and already available at the following airports.
Lufthansa services at Frankfurt Airport
Frankfurt’s Rhein-Main Airport is the central hub for Lufthansa
Lufthansa offers frequent flyers at Frankfurt Airport a separate First Class Terminal and First Class Lounges for First Class passengers and HON Circle Members; Senator Lounges; and Business Lounges with showers in Piers A and B. In addition, a Welcome Lounge is available to First and Business Class passengers and status customers arriving in Frankfurt.
The minimum transfer time for German domestic and international flights is only between 35 and 60 minutes, depending on the connection.
The check in for Lufthansa and its partner airlines is located in Terminal 1, in Departures Halls A and B:
Departures Hall A:
- Exclusive First Class check-in area with numerous counters and short distances to security for First Class passengers, HON Circle Members, Senators and Star Gold card holders.
- Separate Business Class check-in area for Business Class passengers and Frequent Travellers.
Departures Hall B:
- Numerous check-in machines for Economy Class passengers and passengers of other airlines whose check-in is covered by Lufthansa.
- Check-in counter for travel groups.
- Special supervision area with a waiting zone and seats for unaccompanied children and for passengers with reduced mobility.
Quick check-in and baggage drop-off:
More than 60 check-in machines in Hall A, Hall B and at the airport’s mainline station. A large number of baggage drop-off and service counters in Halls A and B also ensure passengers can check in without a long wait.
Those of your customers who are traveling with their families can use the Lufthansa family counters at Frankfurt Airport. They will be able to identify these from a distance thanks to Lu and Cosmo, the two Lufthansa mascots, who are there to give children a warm welcome.
The family counters are in Departures Hall B at counters 336-338 and are open to parents with children up to 12 years old.

Geneva Airport
SWISS and SBB expand Air Rail service from Geneva Airport
(Update: July 2024)
SWISS and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are jointly expanding their Air Rail services. Vevey (ZKZ), Montreux (ZJP), Sion (ZUF), Sierre (ZKO), Visp (ZLB) and Brig (ZDL) will now be connected to the SWISS route network. Travelers can thus benefit from further attractive connections to popular Swiss vacation destinations.
The trains operate with a SWISS flight number and are booked in the same way as a SWISS feeder flight. Through fares will apply.
With this further expansion of its intermodal services, the SWISS Air Rail network now comprises a total of 17 destinations. Already served are Geneva Cornavin (main station),
Fribourg, Berne, Interlaken, Lausanne, Lucerne, Lugano, Bellinzona and Basel in Switzerland, as well as Munich in Germany and Bregenz in Austria.
Munich Airport
Lufthansa services at Munich Airport
Munich is Lufthansa’s second largest hub. Here Lufthansa has its own terminal, Terminal 2, which was designed to meet our passengers’ requirements exactly. At the same time comfort and convenience are paramount.
- First Class Area for First Class passengers and HON Circle Members.
- Faster service through priority check-in
- First Class valet parking and limousine service for First Class passengers and HON Circle Members whose aircraft is parked at a non-gate position.
- Two Senator and two Business Class Lounges with showers.
- 80 quick check-in machines, 42 of which have a baggage check-in function.
- Seven Lufthansa Service Centres with 44 counters for fast check-in.
- Flexible working and availability thanks to Wi-Fi throughout the entire terminal.
- The minimum transit time is only 30 minutes.
Those of your customers traveling with their families can use the Lufthansa family counters at Munich Airport. These are easy to spot from a distance thanks to Lu and Cosmo, the two Lufthansa mascots, who give children a warm welcome.
At check-in even the soft toys and dolls that children have brought with them get their own boarding pass! And to keep boredom at bay after check-in, parents can pick up a copy of our ‘Family Pilot’ brochure at the counter. It gives them useful tips on the location of children’s play areas, child-friendly restaurants and the nearest observation terrace as well as where to find nappy-changing facilities and chemists.
The family counters are located in the Terminal 2 Departures Hall at counters 425 - 426 and are open to parents and their children up to 12 years of age.
Lufthansa unveils new First Class check-in area in Munich
(Update: November 2024)
First Class guests, HON Circle Members, Senators and Star Gold cardholders can now enjoy a reimagined First Class check-in area in Terminal 2 at Munich Airport. Spanning approximately 100 square metres, the secluded area offers four exclusive check-in desks, a dedicated waiting area and direct access to the security checkpoint featuring the latest scanning technology.
Many elements of the new Lufthansa Allegris First Class concept have been integrated into the new look and feel of the Lufthansa First Class check-in. Aside from the elegant sand and blue color palette, it boasts distinctive wooden elements in the form of an indirectly lit slatted wall. The waiting area's side tables are equipped with the signature lights found in the new First Class cabin.
“5-star” award for Munich Airport
(Update: November 2023)
For the fourth time in a row, Munich Airport has received the 5-star quality seal from London-based aviation institute Skytrax. This makes the southern Lufthansa hub one of only three 5-star airports in Europe. In addition to the ease of navigation and the expansion of digitalized processes, such as the use of biometrics, Skytrax also praised the airport’s high degree of passenger comfort.
In specific terms, being a 5-star airport means simplified processes along the entire travel chain, as well as clear signage and easy navigation. Munich Airport sets itself apart from other airports with its excellent service quality, appealing and modern ambiance and outstanding comfort. A key criterion is also impeccable cleanliness in all areas.
With the Lufthansa Group airlines’ 2023/2024 winter schedule, your customers can fly to over 120 destinations in 46 countries via the Munich hub (MUC). Munich is also the home of the Lufthansa Airbus A380 – which departs daily for Bangkok and Los Angeles.
No matter where your customers want to travel to: short walking distances, a modern airport building, and a large selection of shops ensure a relaxed start to their journeys or a comfortable transfer at Munich Airport.
The Lufthansa app: optimal orientation at Munich Airport
The iOS update for the Lufthansa app makes it easier for your customers to find their way around Munich Airport. With an interactive ticket, passengers can call up their position in the building on their iPhone and so find their way to their gate or to the lounge even more easily.
This is made possible by around 200 iBeacons (little Bluetooth transmitters) which are located at the gates, the check-in counters and in the lounges. They transmit an identifier that can be picked up by passengers’ smartphones.
An Android version of this is planned, together with its expansion to other airports.

Zurich Airport
Zurich Airport is only 11 minutes by train from the city center. It is easy to get here by rail or car. Zurich is the commercial center of the country. Switzerland's biggest city is also the perfect starting point for trips into the Swiss mountains.
Zurich airport is a manageable size, which means transfer times and routes are short. It will take you a maximum of 30 minutes to get from the check-in desk to the gate. And yet passengers and guests find that the attractive, ultra modern infrastructure here is an important hub in international air traffic.
There are over 80 shops for you in the Airside Center. Seven days a week, until 9 p.m. (groceries until 11 p.m.). A fast Internet and wifi service is available all over the airport, which you are welcome to use for an hour free of charge.
Transit in Zurich: Changing flights is quick and efficient at Zurich thanks to the short transfer times and direct routes. For longer stays, the transit area has shops, restaurants, showers and lounges.
In combination with online check-in, passengers can drop off their baggage at Zurich and Geneva Airports up to 23 hours before departure.
Early check-in means passengers can check in theirr baggage up to 23 hours before departure for flights operated by SWISS and Edelweiss Air departing from Zurich and Geneva Airports. Passengers take advantage of the benefits of online check-in, and have their boarding pass sent to their smartphone or e-mailed to them to print it out themselves. Passengers can plan to check in their baggage at a quieter check-in time. That way they can go straight to the departure gate on the day of their trip without their baggage and without time pressure.
Passengers should arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare. We generally recommend to arrive around 2 hours before departure (short-haul routes) or 3 hours before departure (long-haul routes). But passengers should also look out for the personalized information in their pre-flight e-mail, on their boarding pass and at the individual airports.
You will find more information about Zurich Airport on the Zurich Airport website.
